Similar objects can look the same, but be different sizes, while congruent objects are the exact same shape, size, etc. With congruent shapes, if you were to lay one ontop of the other, one would perfectly cover the other.

Simon is building a ramp in the shape of a triangular prism. He plans to paint each face of the ramp. What is the total surface
o-na [289]

Answer:

Option (3)

Step-by-step explanation:

The ramp shown in the figure is in the shape of a triangular prism.

Therefore, total surface area of this ramp = Area of the triangular sides + Area of the base + Area of the vertical side + Area of the slanting side

Area of the triangular sides = 2[\frac{1}{2}(Base)\times (h)]

                                              = bh

                                              = 4×3

                                              = 12 square feet

Area of the rectangular base = Length × Width

                                                = 4 × 8

                                                = 32 square feet

Area of the vertical side = Length × Width

                                        = 3 × 8

                                        = 24 square feet

Area of the slanting side = Length × width

                                         = 8×5

                                         = 40 square feet

Total surface area = 12 + 32 + 24 + 40

                              = 108 square feet

Option (3) will be the answer.

Convert the following angle from degrees to radians. Express your answer in simplest
vlada-n [284]

Answer:

25 π /12  radians

Step-by-step explanation:

To convert degrees to radians, multiply by  π /180 , since a full circle is

360  or  2 π  radians.

Cancel the common factor of  15

Factor  15  out of  375

15 (25).  π/ 180  radians

Factor

15  out of  180

15.  25 ⋅ π/ 15 ⋅ 12  radians

Cancel the common factor.

15

⋅ 25 ⋅ π/ 15 ⋅ 12  radians

Rewrite the expression.

25 ⋅ π/ 12  radians

Combine

25  and   π /12

25 π /12  radians
