"Since the ratio is 5:7 you can think in total there was 12 equal blocks of money invested. 5 of those blocks belonged to Jim and 7 of those blocks belonged to Gail. Since they invested $3,600 and then made $6,450 in total there is $10,050. Divide that total into 12 equal blocks of $837.50 and 5 of those blocks belong to Jim. So he will get $4,187.50"

The intersection of two lines is a(n)<br> Geometry
zysi [14]

Answer:

In geometry, an intersection is a point, line, or curve common to two or more objects (such as lines, curves, planes, and surfaces). The simplest case in Euclidean geometry is the intersection of two distinct lines, which either is one point or does not exist if the lines are parallel.

Arrange the equations in the correct sequence to rewrite the formula for displacement, d = vt—1/2at^2 to find a. In the formula,
Murljashka [212]

Answer:

a = \frac{2(vt-d)}{t^{2} }

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the formula for calculating the displacement of a body as shown below;

d = vt - \frac{1}{2} at^{2}

d = displacement

v = final velocity

a = acceleration

t = time

To make the acceleration a the subject of the formula, the followin steps must be taken;

Step 1: Subtract vt from both sides of the equation

d-vt = vt-vt-\frac{1}{2}at^{2} \\ d-vt = -\frac{1}{2}at^{2}\\2(d-vt) = -at^{2}

Step 2: Divide both sides by t²

\frac{2(d-vt)}{t^{2} } = \frac{-at^{2} }{t^{2} } \\a = \frac{-2(d-vt)}{t^{2} }

a = \frac{2(vt-d)}{t^{2} }

What is are indices
White raven [17]

Answer:

The index of a number says how many times to use the number in a multiplication. It is written as a small number to the right and above the base number. In this example: 82 = 8 × 8 = 64. The plural of index is indices. (Other names for index are exponent or power.)
