Answer:

The correct answer is: C) diffusion.

Explanation:

All of the other three options are means of cellular locomotion.

Cilia are organelles found in eukaryotic cells with the specific function of motility. Cilia have the shape of a slender protuberance and tend to be much larger than their cells.

Flagella are a type of cilia so their function is locomotion as well. Flagella tend to locate in more specific cells, like spermatozoids.

Cytoplasmic streaming is the movement of the fluids inside the cytoplasm.

Diffusion, however, has nothing to do with cellular locomotion. Diffusion is a type of transport that involves molecules such as ions or oxygen.

In a scientific experiment how many independent variables should be tested at the same time? A. none B. one C. two D. three or m
choli [55]
B. One

because an independent variable is something you change. So in a scientific experiment you only change one thing. If you happen to change more than one thing then the test becomes unfair therefore you should repeat and make sure that only one thing is changed this time.

Can someone help me? The question is State two scenarios that demonstrate the process diffusion
gtnhenbr [62]

Answer:

One could be in the cell. The cell respires, thus producing carbon dioxide in it. So the concentration builds up in the cell. Diffusion is the net movement of particles from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration, and the carbon dioxide concentration outside the cell is less, therefore the carbon dioxide molecules moves outs of the cell.

Another scenario is when perfume is sprayed into the air. The perfume particles collides with the air particles (lower or no concentration of perfume). This process goes on and on. This is diffusion since the concentration perfume particles collides with the less concentrated particles of perfume.
