What is the perimeter of a square with a side length 6x - 5
jolli1 [7]

Answer:

\boxed{ \bold{ \huge{ \boxed{ \sf{24x - 20}}}}}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Length ( L ) = 6x - 5

Perimeter of a square ( P ) = ?

<u>Finding </u><u>the </u><u>perimeter </u><u>of </u><u>a </u><u>square </u><u>having </u><u>length </u><u>of </u><u>6</u><u>x</u><u>-</u><u> </u><u>5</u>

\boxed{ \bold{ \boxed{ \sf perimeter \: of \: a \: square \:  = 4l}}} ( where l is the side of the square )

plug the value of length

⇒\sf{4(6x - 5)}

Distribute 4 through the parentheses

⇒\sf{4 \times 6x - 4 \times 5}

⇒\sf{24x - 20}

Hope I helped!

Best regards!!

What is the distance between (–6, 2) and (8, 10) on a coordinate grid?
bazaltina [42]
Distance Formula: d = √(x₂ - x₁)² + (y₂ - y₁)²

(-6 , 2) and (8 , 10)
 x₁   y₁         x₂    y₂

d = √(8 - (-6))² + (10 - 2)²
d = √(8+6)² + (10 - 2)²
d = √(14)² + (8)²
d = √(196) + (64)
d = √ 260
d = 2√65

I think this is right, but I am not sure.

gogolik [260]

Answer:

The answer to your question is Area = 3240 ft²   or Area = 360 yd²

Step-by-step explanation:

Data

length = 30 yd

width = 36 ft

Area = ? ft²

Area = ? yd²

Process

1.- Convert the units

                  1 yd --------------------- 3ft

                 30 yd ------------------   x

                  x = (30 x 3)/1

                  x = 90 ft

                  1 yd ------------------- 3 ft

                  x     ------------------- 36 ft

                  x = (36 x 1) / 3

                  x = 12 yd

2.- Calculate the area of the rectangle in ft²

Area = length x width

-Substitution

Area = 90 x 36

        = 3240 ft²

3.- Calculate the area in yd²

Area = 30 x 12

        = 360 yd²
