a. weight

Explanation:

Newton's second law of motion states that:

F=ma

where

F is the force acting on an object

m is the mass of the object

a is the acceleration of the object

If we take an object and we want to measure its weight, we can directly use this formula. In fact, the weight of an object is just equal to the force of gravity acting on the object, which is F in the previous formula. The acceleration, in this case, is g, the acceleration due to gravity, so the formula becomes

F=mg

A race car was is moving at a constant speed of 35 m/s. A security car was
Andrej [43]

Answer:

Final speed of security car v = 65 m/s

Explanation:

Given:

Speed of race car u1 = 35m/s

Speed of security car u2 = 5 m/s

Acceleration = 5 m/s²

Find:

Final speed of security car v

Computation:

Assume, they chase S meter

So

S = u1t + [1/2]at²

S = 35t

S = u2t + [1/2]at²

so,

35t = 5t +  [1/2](5)t²

t = 12 s

So

v = u + at

v = 5 + 5(12)

Final speed of security car v = 65 m/s

A person touches a large chunk of ice with their hand and remarks, “This is making me cold.” Explain what this person is feeling
malfutka [58]

Cold temperature can't "flow" into a warmer object, in this case, the person's hand. The heat energy of the hand gets transferred to the colder object, the ice.

A crate weighing 1000 Newton's needs to be lifted at a constant speed from the ground to a loading dock 1.5 meters high in 5.0 s
miskamm [114]

Answer:

the Power required is 300 W

Explanation:

We know that the definition of work is given by the following expresion:

W=F*d

the distance is 1.5 meters and the Force is equal to 1000 N.

Replacing this values in the work expresion

w= 1000 *1.5 = 1500 J

And the power is equal to the amount of work done in a given time, therefore we have:

Power = \frac{work}{time} \\

Time in seconds

Power = 1500/5\\\\Power = 300 watts
