Answer:

A 50 kg ball traveling at 20 m/s would be moving at double the speed. So it would have (2)² = 4 times as much kinetic energy. == A 50 kg ball traveling at 5 m/s would be moving at 1/2 the speed.

Answer:

The initial scenario is a ball of 50kg traveling at 10m/s

The equation of kinetic energy is: K = (1/2)mv^2

a) A 50 kg ball traveling at 20 m/s would have more kinetic energy.

20m/s is the double of 10 ms, and in the kinetic energy the velocity is squared, so we have:

K = (m/2)(20)^2 = (m/2)(2*10)^2 = (m/2)4*10^2 = 4*((m/2)*10^2)

Here the kinetic energy is 4 times the initial kinetic energy.

b)A 50 kg ball traveling at 5 m/s would have less kinetic energy.

here we do the same process as before,

K = (m/2)(5)^2 = (m/2)(10/2)^2 = (1/4)(m/2)(10)^2

This kinetic energy is one-fourth of the initial kinetic energy.

c) A 50 kg person falling at 10 m/s would have equal kinetic energy.

The kinetic energy only depends on the mass and the velocity, and in this case, the velocity and mass are the same that in the initial case, so here the kinetic energy is the same.

What is the maximum resultant intensity in terms of the intensity of the initial unpolarized incoming light io?
Dennis_Churaev [7]

The unpolarized light becomes less intense. When unpolarized light is run through a polarizer, its intensity is diminished by a factor of ½.

Unpolarized light:

Unpolarized light is diminished by a factor of ½ when it travels through a polarizer. Cos 2θ averages out across all angles to be ½ in size. I transmitted = I₀ and ½ I₀ at all angles The unpolarized light's intensity decreases to zero.

The light-producing atoms on the heated filament's surface behave independently of one another. Each of these emissions can be roughly represented as a brief "wave train" lasting between approximately 109 and 108 seconds. These wave trains, each with its unique polarization direction, are superimposed to form the electromagnetic wave that is coming from the filament.

Unpolarized light is produced by all common light sources, including the Sun, incandescent and fluorescent lighting, and flames.

The picture below shows the position of Earth and two stars.
alexgriva [62]

The answer is:

18 years.

The explanation:

when Star 1 is 34 light years from Earth and Star 2 is 52 light years from Earth. that means the distance between star 1 and star 2 is 52-34 = 18 years so, If Star 2 explodes as a supernova so, the explosion would take 18 years to be seen from a planet orbiting Star 1.

What is horoscope? what is its uses
Lemur [1.5K]
What is horoscope?
A forecast of a person's future, typically including delineation of character and circumstances, based on the relative positions of the stars and planets at the time of that person's birth.

   *
A short forecast for people born under a particular sign, especially as published in a newspaper or magazine.

    *
A birth chart.

What is its uses?
It can also be calculated for an event, a question, and even a country. Symbols are used to represent planets, signs, and geometric connections called aspects. In most cases, the horoscope in Western astrology is drawn on a circular wheel.
