Can you write the formula for kinetic energy ?
Here, let me help you:

       Kinetic energy = (1/2) (mass) (speed)²  .

Look at the (speed) in the formula.  It's squared.

So if the speed gets multiplied by (something),
the kinetic energy gets multiplied by  (something)² .

If the speed starts out at 1 m/s, but gets multiplied by 4,
then the kinetic energy gets multiplied by  (4)²  =  16 .

zloy xaker [14]

Answer:

-2.79 m/s²

Explanation:

Given:

v₀ = 20 m/s

v = 11 m/s

Δx = 50 m

Find: a

v² = v₀² + 2aΔx

(11 m/s)² = (20 m/s)² + 2a (50 m)

a = -2.79 m/s²

Round as needed.

What is the average velocity of atoms in 2.00 mol of neon (a monatomic gas)
Dimas [21]

Answer:

v = 876 m/s

Explanation:

It is given that,

Number of mol of Neon is 2 mol

Temperature, T = 308 K

Mass, m = 0.02 kg

Value of R - 8.31 J/mol-K

We need to find the average velocity of atoms in 2.00 mol of neon. Neon is a monoatomic gas. Let v is the velocity. So,

\dfrac{1}{2}mv^2=\dfrac{3}{2}nRT\\\\v=\sqrt{\dfrac{3nRT}{m}} \\\\v=\sqrt{\dfrac{3\times 2\times 8.314\times 308}{0.02}} \\\\v=876.47\ m/s

So, the correct option is (B).
