Item                          Time bought
MIcroscopes             Every 5 years
Safety goggles          Every 4 years
Test Tube                  Every 2 years

It would take 20 years for them to buy these three items at the same time.

We simply need to find the LCM or least common multiple of the 3 items using the number of years.

Microscopes - 5 years → 5, 10, 15, 20
Goggles - 4 years → 4, 8, 12, 16, 20
Test tubes - 2 years → 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20

A telemarketer earns $150 a week plus $2 for each call that results in sale. Last week she earned a total of $204. How many of h
cluponka [151]

Answer:

27 calls

Step-by-step explanation:

Let T(x) represent total sales.

Then T(x) = $150 + ($2/call)x, where x is the number of calls made.

If T(x)        = $204, we can solve for x, the number of calls made:

$204 = $150 + ($2/call)x, or

 $ 54

----------- = 27 calls

$2/call

Answer:

3 \frac{1}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that Sally picked 6 2/3 pounds of apples, which can be converted into an improper fraction: 20/3. Multiply 20/3 and 1/2. You will get 20/6, which is 3 1/3. Hope this helped :D
