2 7/12. 7 3/4 fourths divided by 3 equals 2 7/12. 2/3 is equal to 5 1/6. 7 3/4 - 5 1/6 equals 2 7/12. :)

Answer:

2\frac{7}{12} hours or 2 hours 35 minutes.

Step-by-step explanation:

A trip to Portland, Oregon from Boston will take = 7\frac{3}{4}  hours

We are finished = \frac{2}{3} of the trip

                          = \frac{2}{3} × 7\frac{3}{4}

                          = \frac{2}{3} × \frac{31}{4}

                          = \frac{62}{12}

                          = \frac{31}{6}

                         = 5\frac{1}{6}  hours of the trip completed.

Now we will subtract from the total time of trip to completed time of trip.

= 7\frac{3}{4} - 5\frac{1}{6}

= \frac{31}{4}  - \frac{31}{6}

= \frac{93-62}{12}

= \frac{31}{12}

= 2\frac{7}{12} hours = 2.58 hours or 2 hours 35 minutes

The trip will take  2\frac{7}{12} hours

If the radius of the circle was doubled what effect would it have on the area
ch4aika [34]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

If the radius of a circle is doubled, the area of the circle will be quadrupled and the circumference will also be doubled. This makes sense because the area of a circle is directly proportional to the square of the radius of the circle (if the radius of a circle is increased x times, its area will be increased to x^2 times the original area), whereas the circumference is proportional to the size of the radius (if the radius of a circle is increased x times, its circumference will increase x times).
