Like concept of gravity by Isaac Newton was that it is a force of attraction between two bodies which is directly proportional to product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between their centers. But then Albert Einstein came up with the improved concept of gravity with the general theory of relativity that it is the effect of mass on fabric of space time.
Another example is the determination of structure of atom from Greek concept and Dalton's theory to experiments of Rutherford and Chadwick, which laid the basis of quantum mechanics. Now we know today that Greek concepts about atom and Dalton's concepts partially, were wrong about atomic model.
So it is correct that human knowledge about science is continuously evolving with respect of time.
