x = 180-105

x= 75 degrees

If x/-2=18 then what is x equal to
Elodia [21]

Answer: X = -36

Step-by-step explanation:

X/-2 = 18 we need to get the variable alone, so we need to get rid of the /-2 to get x alone. And whatever we do to one side we have to do to the other so:

X/-2 = 18

X/-2 • (-2) = 18 • (-2)

The /-2 cancels out so we are left with

X = -36

What is the discriminate of the following quadratic equation?
4x^2 - 2x + 6 = 0
hram777 [196]

-92

Step-by-step explanation:

If a quadratic equation has the following form:

ax^2 + bx + c =0, \;\;\;a \neq 0

then its discriminant D is defined as

D = b^2 - 4ac

In our given quadratic equation, a = 4, b = -2 and c = 6, so its discriminant is

D = (-2)^2 - 4(4)(6) = -92

Note: The value of the discriminant D will determine the characteristics of the roots of the quadratic equation according to the following rules:

D > 0,\;\; there will be 2 real roots

D = 0,\;\; there will be 1 real root

D < 0,\;\; there will be 2 imaginary roots

Hence our given quadratic equation will not have any real roots but only imaginary ones.

icang [17]

Given: an n-gon

Prove: The sum of the measures of the interior angles is 180(n – 2)°.

Complete the missing parts of the paragraph proof.

We are given an n-gon, which has n sides and n vertices.

Answers:

1. If we choose one of the vertices, we can draw n-3 diagonals.

2. These diagonals form n-2 triangles.

3. The sum of the interior angle measures of a triangle is 180 degrees.

4. n – 2 triangles would have an interior angle measure sum of 180 degrees.

5. Therefore, the sum of the measures of the interior angles of an n-gon is 180(n – 2)°.

Can someone please help me with number 3 and fast because is due tomorrow.
mixer [17]

First, find the hypotenuse of the triangle with leg lengths 4 and 4. Use special triangle theorem:

1:1:sqrt(2) 4:4:4*sqrt(2)

Use the Pythagorean Theorem to find x:

2^2 + (4sqrt2)^2 = x^2

x^2 = 36

x = 6, or choice (D).
