Answer:

Zn (s) + SnSO_4 (aq)\longrightarrow ZnSO_4 (aq) + Sn (s)

Explanation:

Hi, when adding Zn to the solution because of its high reactivity it will displace the Sn. This process is a redox reaction.

First step is to identify the compound that oxidates and the  compound that reduces. The Zn has a high oxidation potencial so it will oxidate:

Oxidation hemireaction: Zn (s) \longrightarrow Zn^+^2 (aq) + 2e^-

The reduction reaction will be performed by the Sn:

Reduction hemireaction: Sn^+^2 (aq) + 2e^- \longrightarrow Sn (s)

Writting the net redox equation:

Zn (s) + Sn^+^2 (aq) + 2e^-\longrightarrow Zn^+^2 (aq) + 2e^- + Sn (s)

Zn (s) + SnSO_4 (aq)\longrightarrow ZnSO_4 (aq) + Sn (s)

Not complete the sure, but I think it’s

Zn(s) + SnSO4(aq) —> ZnSO4(aq) + Sn(s)

What are atoms made of?
mr Goodwill [35]

Answer:

3

Explanation:

Atoms are made of 3 parts.

  • Protons
  • Electrons
  • Neutrons

- The protons and Neutrons form together creating a sun, or nucleus at the center

- The electrons orbit this sun like planets.

The element with Th is Thorium. It is a metallic chemical element that when exposed to air, hardens.

What is a DNA fingerprint and why is it considered individual evidence?
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]

Answer:

<em>DNA fingerprinting is a laboratory technique used to establish a link between biological evidence and a suspect in a criminal investigation.</em><em> </em>

<em>A DNA sample taken from a crime scene is compared with a DNA sample from a suspect. If the two DNA profiles are a match, then the evidence came from that suspect.</em>

An object was measured by a worker as
Gre4nikov [31]

Answer:

\boxed{2.8 \, \%}

Explanation:

\text{Percent error} = \dfrac{\lvert \text{Measured - Actual}\lvert}{ \text{Actual}} \times100 \, \%

Data:

Predicted = 17.4 cm

     Actual = 17.9 cm

Calculation:

\text{Percent error} = \dfrac{\lvert 17.4 - 17.9\lvert}{17.9} \times 100 \, \% \\\\= \dfrac{\lvert-0.5\lvert}{17.9} \times 100 \, \% = \dfrac{0.5}{17.9} \times 100 \, \% \\\\= 0.028 \times 100 \, \% = \textbf{2.8 \%}\\\\\text{The percent error in the measurement is } \boxed{\textbf{2.8 \%}}

A sample of trifluoroacetic acid, C2HF3O2, contains 26.5 g of oxygen. Calculate the mass of the trifluoroacetic acid sample.
Yuki888 [10]

Answer:

94.3 grams

Explanation:

MW of C2HF3O2 is 114g/mol

MW of oxygen in C2HF3O2 is 32g/mol

% composition of oxygen in C2HF3O2 = 32/114 × 100 = 28.1%

Mass of oxygen = 26.5 grams

Mass of trifluoroacetic acid = 26.5/0.281 = 94.3 grams
