Did you mean P' ? The letter P with a tick mark after it. If so, then start with set U and erase any number you find in set P

We start with
{1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8}
and we erase the following: 1,2,3,4
since those numbers are in set P

P = {1,2,3,4}
P ' = {5, 6, 7, 8}

<span>The set P' is the complement of set P. It is, in a sense, the opposite of set P. It contains everything that P doesn't have.</span>

The time is 2:46 PM. What is the measure of the angle that the minute hand swept through since 2:00 PM?
Sonbull [250]
The minute hand has swept through 46 minutes on the clock. You have to set up a ratio to solve this:

\frac{46\ minutes}{60\ minutes} = \frac{x\ degrees}{360\ degrees}

You can compare the 60 minutes on a clock to 360 degrees because 60 minutes on a clock is one whole rotation. So then, you cross multiply and simplify:

\frac{46\ minutes}{60\ minutes} = \frac{x\ degrees}{360\ degrees}\\\\46*360=x*60\\16560=60x\\276=x

Therefore, the minute hand has swept through an angle with a measure of 276 degrees.

Samantha deposit 300 in an account that earns an annual interest rate of 2.5 after nine months she computes the simple interest.
antiseptic1488 [7]

Answer:

She is doing a mistake of calculating interest after 9 months in place of after 12 months.

Step-by-step explanation:

Samantha deposit $300 in an account that earns an annual interest rate of 2.5%.

Now, Samantha after nine months of deposit computes the simple interest.

She is doing a mistake of calculating interest after 9 months in place of after 12 months.

The calculation of interest should be on a yearly basis (i.e. 12 months) as the interest rate is 2.5% per year. (Answer)

Trigonometry question! find y. round to the nearest tenth!
tresset_1 [31]

Answer:

<h2>y = 242.4 ft</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

Look at the picture.

Use sine:

sine=\dfrac{opposite}{hypotenuse}

We have a measure of the angle and length of the hypotenuse:

\alpha=29^o,\ hypotenuse=500\ ft

\sin29^o\approx0.48481

Substitute:

\dfrac{y}{500}=0.48481              <em>multiply both sides by 500</em>

y=242.405\to y\approx242.4
