By connecting the top of the height of the bird feeder and the tip of the shadow casted, we form a right triangle. The hypotenuse is equal to the given distance between the top of the bird feeder and the top of the shadow which is equal to 19 feet.

If we let x be the height of the bird feeder and x/2 be the length of the shadow, by Pythagorean theorem,
                                       x² + (0.5x)² = 19²
The value of x from the equation is 16.99 ft or 17 ft.
Thus, the height of the bird feeder is 17 ft and the shadow is approximately 8.5 ft.

Ksenya-84 [330]

Answer:

He needs 1 more fish tank.

Step-by-step explanation:

18 / 3 = X    (X equals the number of fish tanks he needs)

2 + 3 = 5 fish tanks

5 x 3 = 15 fish

18 -15 = 3

Since 5 fish tanks can hold 15 fish he will need 6 fish tanks to hold his 18 fish.  He will need 1 more fish tank.

Can u conclude that these triangles are congruent yes or no
Serjik [45]

Answer:

yes

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello! these triangles are congruent because they meet the following criteria:

1) they have 3 sides which are the same(you can tell by the number of lines on each side that they are same)

2) they have the same angle

it does not matter if the triangle is flipped, the triangle still has the 3 same angles and sides hence its congruent

Answer:

15 more weeks

Step-by-step explanation:

425 - 125 (what shes already saved)

300 divided by 20 (amount shes saving each week)

Result is 15, so 15 more weeks.

Hope this helped :)

If you mean how many weeks total, 125 according to the 20 dollars a week would bring it 22 weeks i think.. since the answer answer is 21.2 weeks exactly when you divide 425 by 20.
