Answer: The Millers need 15 gallons of water for 6 minutes.

Lets start by finding how much water is needed for 1 min shower.

25 gallons of water is used for 10 min shower:

10 mins = 25 gallons

To find 1 min shower, we will divide the 25 gallons of water by 10.

10 mins = 25 gallons            ← Divide by 10 on both sides
÷ 10           ÷ 10
1 min = 2.5 gallons

Now that we know the Millers need 2.5 gallons for every 1 minute of shower, we can find 6 minutes of shower by multiplying by 6.

1 min = 2.5 gallons         ← Multiply 6 on both sides
   x6           x6
6 min = 15 gallons

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Answer: The Millers need 15 gallons of water for 6 minutes.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Y=1/2x +5
Y=-3/2x-7
Find x and y
gayaneshka [121]
I'm going to use the substitution method.

If y = - 3/2 - 7, then:

1/2x + 5 = - 3/2x - 7

Combine like terms:

4/2x = - 12. Mutiply both sides by 2/4 to get x = -12 (2/4)

Simplify to get:

x = - 6.

Plug - 6 back in for x in either equation.

Y = 1/2( - 6) + 5 which becomes Y = - 3 + 5.

X = - 6, Y = 2

In the figure below, what is the value of x
kykrilka [37]

Answer:

x = 49°

Step-by-step explanation:

Angles in a Triangle

The sum of the internal angles in any triangle adds up to 180°.

The figure shows a triangle that includes two angles with the same tick mark. This means they are congruent, i.e. they measure the same.

The larger triangle has three defined angles: 43°, 39°, and 2x. Since the sum of them is 180°:

43° + 39° + 2x = 180°

Operating:

82° + 2x = 180°

Subtracting 82°:

2x = 180° - 82° = 98°

x = 98°/2 = 49°

x = 49°

A rectangle length was 4 feet longer than triple the length of it width
wlad13 [49]
Length is 48 ft

The perimeter of a rectangle is equal to the sum of all side’s.
2(lengths)+2(widths)= perimeter
Length=3x+4
Now given the perimeter of 140
3(3x+4)+3(x)=140
9x+12+3x=140
12x+12=140
12x=128
X= 10.7
10.7 is the width

Length=3x+4
Length =3(10.6)+4
Length=31.8+4
Length=35.8
Answer = 35.8
This can only be answered if you were given a perimeter.
