1. 3.81 = 3.8 because 8 is in the tenths place and you rounded it. 1 is less than 5 so the number stays the same.
2. 72.27 = 72.3 because 2 was in the tenths place and you rounded it by 7. 7 is more than 5 so the number changes to 3.
The number beside the number you want to round on the left must be equal or more than 5.
3. 167.79 = 167.8 4. 67.04 = 67 5. 1.356 = 1.36 6. 0.048 = 0.05
7. 8.333 = 8.33 8. 1.9973 = 2 9. 7.4 = 7 10. 171.68 = 172
11. 0.0018 = 0 12. 600.55 = 601

The LATERAL Surface Area for the shape below is ____________. (assume the bases are the larger faces on the top and bottom.)
Zolol [24]

Answer:

LA=210\ cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The lateral area of the figure is given by

LA=Ph

where

P is the perimeter of the base (larger faces)

h is the height

Find the perimeter of the base P

P=2(11+10)=42\ cm

we have

h=5\ cm

substitute in the formula of lateral area

LA=42(5)=210\ cm^2

2. The cost of a cell phone is $500. According to the cellular device contract, you will need to be
iris [78.8K]

a. As described in the problem you will be paying in the bill $0.15 per minute which means you have a linear relationship where both the total cost of the bill and the minutes will grow at the same rate (the price of the minute times the minutes) like this

C(t)=0.15t

where C(t) is the total cost of the cell phone bill and t will be the time in minutes

b. The domain of the function will be the values that we can enter to the function. It is defined in the problem that this cost of the minutes its only up to 600 minutes so there is our limitation for the values that will enter the function. The domain will be between 0 and 600 both included because if he calls 0 minutes the bill will be 0 and if he calls 600 he would pay 0.15 for this last minute as well.

<h3>What are the organ systems?</h3>

The organ systems is the system of body which consist of different organs of the body. These organs help to work the body freely.

Maria is camping when she starts to smell smoke. She turns on her radio, to get the news that a forest fire is heading her way. The organs which help her to keep safe from fire are listed below:

  • Nervous system- It helps to react the body against the hazard.
  • Respiratory system-This organ system help Maria to keep breath with increasing the breathing rate.
  • Integumentary System-This system help to protect her inner body from external environment.
  • Endocrine System- It will help to maintain energy level.
  • Muscular System-This system will help to run and do physical task in the fire.

Thus, Maria's organ systems interact to help keep her safe Nervous system, Respiratory system, Endocrine System, Integumentary System and Muscular System.
