The first one, runoff carries fertilizer from a lawn to a nearby lake<u />, is the most direct example of water pollution.

The fertilizer contains chemicals that are bad for the environment, and when it rains and that water is carried down to a lake or river, that can be bad for the environment of the body of water.

If 4.0 mol of NO and 4.0 mol of O2 are combined, how many moles
Masja [62]
4.0

i think it has something to do with molar ratios and finding the limiting reactant

4.0 mol NO * 2 mol NO2/2 mol NO = 4.0 moles of NO2

4.0 mol O2 * 2 mol NO2/1 mol O2 = 8.0 moles of NO2

so the limiting reactant (the reactant that runs out the quickest leaving an excess) is NO

once the limiting reactant is found, we can use that data for that substance to calculate the amount of product

4.0 mol NO * 2 mol NO2/2 mole NO = 4.0 moles of NO2

Looking across period 4 of the periodic table, potassium (atomic number 19) is followed by calcium (atomic number 20), which is
Mumz [18]
While staying in the same period, if we move from left to right across the period, the atomic radius decreases. The reason is, in a period the number of shells remain the same and the number of electrons and protons increase as we move across the period to the right. The increased electrons and protons attract each other with greater force and hence the atomic size decreases.

So the element on the left most will have the largest atomic radius. So the correct ans is Potassium. Potassium will have the largest atomic size among Potassium, Calcium and Scandium.
