DeMarkus says that a store overcharged him on the price of the video game he bought. He thought that the price was marked 1/4 of

the original price, but it was really 1/4 off the original price. He misread the advertisement. If the price of the game was $48, what is the difference between the price that DeMarkus thought he should pay and the price that the store charged him?

DeMarkus though he shpuld pay 48* 1/4 which is $12, the store charged him 48- 48/4= 48- 12= $36, so the difference is 36- 12= $24 :))

<h2>Answer:</h2>

The difference in the price is:

                   $ 24

<h2>Step-by-step explanation:</h2>

It is given that:

  • DeMarkus  thought that the price was marked 1/4 of the original price.

The original price of the game was: $ 48

This means that the prime thought he should pay is:

    (1/4)×Actual Price.

  \dfrac{1}{4}\times 48=\$ 12

Also,

  • It was marked that the price was: 1/4 off the original price.

This means that the price of the game is:

  Actual price- (1/4)×Actual Price.

48-\dfrac{1}{4}\times 48=48-12=\$ 36

The difference between the price that DeMarkus thought he should pay and the price that the store charged him is:

   \$\ (36-12)=\$\ 24

Which if the following is the equation of a line that passes through the points (2,5) and (4,3)
Taya2010 [7]
Hi there!

First, let's find the slope of the two points using the slope formula (y2 - y1 / x2 - x1).

S = 4 - 2 / 3 - 5
S = 2 / -2
S = -1

Next, we'll plug in the slope and a point into point-slope form (y - y1 = s(x - x1)) in order to find an equation. I will show the work using both points, which will result in two different equations.

(2,5)
y - 5 = -1(x - 2)
y - 5 = -x + 2
y = -x + 7

(4,3)
y - 3 = -1(x - 4)
y - 3 = -x + 4
y = -x + 7

The two equations came out the same! Which is completely okay, and happens sometimes.

Hope this helps!! :)

f(x) = (x − 3)(x + 3)[x − (2 − i)][x − (2 + i)] The function has real roots and imaginary roots.
Feliz [49]
The real roots are 3 and -3.
Imaginary roots:-
x - (2 - i) = 0
x = 2 -i  is one imaginary root and the other is  2 + i
