This isn't really a school-related question. It's more of a conflict I have with my self. So: I have a friend that constantly cop

ies my work, and homework. When we have homework assigned to us, my friend always tell me to send her a pic of the work and answer. Since I'm weak-willed, I can't say no to her, especially since she is one of the few friends that I have at my school. What do I do, especially now that we have a HUGE project to do that is worth at least 40% of our grade, since she is telling me send a pic of my answers on the project to her?

Well to be honest, you need to straight forward to her and tell her that you do not appreciate her copying you and tell her you dont want to be rude or anything, but this needs to stop.

You pick a card at random, put it back, and then pick another card at random. 2 3 4 5 What is the probability of picking a numbe
olga_2 [115]

Answer:

3/4 or a 75% chance

Step-by-step explanation:

Out of 4 cards ( 2 3 4 5), here are the cards greater than 3: 4, and 5. That leaves you with a 2/4 chance of drawing one of them. (2 cards, 4 in total).

Then, picking a 4 out of 4 cards is a 1/4 chance; since that is one card out of 4 total possibilities.

1/4 + 2/4 = 3/4. Or, a 75% chance.

Determine if the events A and B are independent. Show all steps.
zmey [24]

<u><em></em></u>

Answer:

P(A U B )  = \frac{13}{25}

Step-by-step explanation:

<u><em>STEP:-1</em></u>

Given that events A and B are independent then

P(A ∩B ) = P(A) P(B)

Given that P(A) = 2/5 and P(B) = 1/5

<u><em>STEP:- 2</em></u>

P(A ∩B ) = P(A) P(B)

P(A U B) = P(A) +P(B) - P(A n B )

P(A U B ) = P(A) +P(B) - P(A) P(B)

<u><em>Step(iii):-</em></u>

<u><em></em></u>P(A U B ) = \frac{2}{5} +\frac{1}{5} - \frac{2}{5} X \frac{1}{5}<u><em></em></u>

<u><em></em></u>P(A U B ) = \frac{3}{5} - \frac{2}{5} X \frac{1}{5}<u><em></em></u>

<u><em></em></u>P(A U B ) = \frac{3}{5} - \frac{2}{25}<u><em></em></u>

<u><em></em></u>P(A U B ) = \frac{15-2}{25} = \frac{13}{25}<u><em></em></u>
