Given that after a 15% price reduction, a boat sold for $15,200. Now we have to find the boats price before the reduction.

Let the boats price before the reduction = x

Reduction = 15% of original price = 15% of x = 0.15x

Then selling price will be difference of original price and reduction

Selling price = Origina price - Reduction

15200 = x - 0.15x

15200 = 0.85x

\frac{15200}{0.85}=x

17882.3529412=x

Hence origina price before reduction is approx $17882.35

Answer:

OPTION C:  Sin C - Cos C = s - r

Step-by-step explanation:

ABC is a right angled triangle. ∠A = 90°, from the figure.

Therefore, BC = hypotenuse, say h

Now, we find the length of AB and AC.

We know that:   $ \textbf{Sin A} =  \frac{\textbf{opp}}{\textbf{hyp}} $

and    $ \textbf{Cos A} = \frac{\textbf{adj}}{\textbf{hyp}} $

Given, Sin B = r and Cos B = s

⇒    $ Sin B = r = \frac{opp}{hyp} = \frac{AC}{BC} = \frac{AC}{h} $

⇒ $ \textbf{AC} = \textbf{rh} $

Hence, the length of the side AC = rh

Now, to compute the length of AB, we use Cos B.

$ Cos B = s = \frac{adj}{hyp} = \frac{AB}{BC} = \frac{AB}{h} $

⇒  $ \textbf{AB} = \textbf{sh} $

Hence, the length of the side AB = sh

Now, we are asked to compute Sin C - Cos C.

$ Sin C = \frac{opp}{hyp} $

⇒  $ Sin C = \frac{AB}{BC} $

              $ = \frac{sh}{h} $

               = s

Sin C = s

$  Cos C = \frac{adj}{hyp} $

$ \implies Cos C = \frac{AC}{BC} $

⇒ Cos C = $ \frac{rh}{h} $

Therefore, Cos C = r

So, Sin C - Cos C = s - r, which is OPTION C and is the right answer.

Find the value of sin 0<br>cos(90°- 0) + cos 0 sin(90°-0)
Step2247 [10]

Step-by-step explanation:

sin \theta \: cos(90 \degree - \theta) + cos \theta \: sin(90 \degree - \theta) \\  = sin(\theta + 90 \degree - \theta) \\  = sin(90 \degree)  \\  = 1

Two liquids Kaylin mixed two liquids for science experiment one container had 7/8 Cup and the other health 9/10 cup what is the
seraphim [82]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>Step 1: Determine quantity per liquid</em>

liquid 1=7/8 cup

liquid 2=9/10 cup

<em>Step 2: Derive expression to calculate total amount of mixture</em>

The expression below can be derived;

T=a+b

where;

T=total amount of mixture

a=total amount of liquid 1

b=total amount of liquid 2

In our case;

a=7/8 cup

b=9/10 cup

replacing;

T=(7/8)+(9/10)=1 31/40 cups

The total amount of mixture=1 31/40 cups

There was a plate of cookies on the table. Amanda was hungry because she hadn't had breakfast, so she
Butoxors [25]

Answer:

10 2/3

Step-by-step explanation:

So in order to figure this out you have to work backwards. First, Daniel came and took a cookie. So when he took 1 there were 3 cookies available. Next Christine took one fourth of the cookies, meaning that the 3 available cookies are the remaining 3/4's. When she got there she took 1. Then Beth came and took 1/3. For it to be 3/3 there has to be 1 and 1/3 more cookies. Now there are 5 and 1/3 cookies. Amanda came and ate half of the cookies meaning that the amount of cookies we have now is the other half that she didnt eat. 5 and 1/3 plus 5 and 1/3 is 10 and 2/3. I hope this is correct.
