1.5 min = 90 sec

(25 m/s²) x (90 sec) =

(25 x 90) (m - s / s²) = 2,250 m/s .

At the end of 1.5 min of acceleration, the object will be moving 2,250 m/s faster than it was at the beginning of the 1.5 min.

We don't know how fast that is, because you never told us how fast it was moving when the acceleration started.

(I'd stand out of the way of that object if I were you.  2,250 m/s is a little over 5,000 miles per hour !  And that's on top of whatever speed it had before it started accelerating ... at better than 2.5 G's !)

The question is incomplete, here is the complete question:

If an object is accelerating at a rate of 25 m/s² how fast will it be moving in 1.50 min

? (Assume that the initial velocity is zero)

<u>Answer:</u> The object is moving with the velocity of 2250 m/s

<u>Explanation:</u>

To calculate the speed of the object, we use first equation of motion:

v=u+at

where,

v = final velocity of the object = ? m/s

u = initial velocity of the object = 0 m/s

a = acceleration of the object = 25m/s^2

t = time taken = 1.50 min = 90 seconds  (Conversion factor: 1 min = 60 seconds)

Putting values in above equation, we get:

v=0+(25\times 90)\\\\v=2250m/s

Hence, the object is moving with the velocity of 2250 m/s

Parker (73.2 kg) is being dragged down the hall with an applied force of 123 N. If the frictional force is 27.4 N, what is the c
levacccp [35]

Answer:

The coefficient of friction in the hall is 0.038

Explanation:

Given;

mass of the Parker, m = 73.2 kg

applied force on the parker, F = 123 N

frictional force, Fs = 27.4 N

the coefficient of friction in the hall = ?

frictional force is given by;

Fs = μN

Where;

μ is the coefficient of friction

N is normal reaction = mg

Fs = μmg

μ = Fs / mg

μ = (27.4) / (73.2 x 9.8)

μ = 0.038

Therefore, the coefficient of friction in the hall is 0.038

A 1.10 kg box slides down a rough incline plane from a height h of 1.75 m. The box had a speed of 2.99 m/s at the top and a spee
madam [21]

Answer:

20.18 J

Explanation:

We are given that

Mass of bx=m=1.1 kg

Height=h=1.75 m

Initial speed of box=u=2.99 m/s

Final speed,v=2.56 m/s

We have to find the mechanical energy lost due to friction.

Energy at top=K.E+P.E=\frac{1}{2}mu^2+mgh=\frac{1}{2}(1.1)(2.99)^2+1.1\times 9.8\times 1.75=23.78 J

Where g=9.8 m/s^2

At bottom,h'=0

Energy at bottom=\frac{1}{2}mv^2+mgh'=\frac{1}{2}(1.1)(2.56)^2+0=3.6 J

Energy lost=Energy(Top)-Energy(bottom)=23.78-3.6=20.18 J
