8 * 1/4 = 2 then 2 * 5280 = 10560

Ok just do 5,280 (the number of feet in a mile) divided by 4 which is 1,320 then do 1,320 times 8 which is 10,560 but there's no answer for that so i have no clue ether but still the options on your question must be messed up so it should be 10,560 (two miles)

Answer:

<u>Answer</u><u>:</u><u> </u><u>D</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

2(x - 3) \geqslant - 3( - 3 + x)

open the brackets [ distributive property ]

2x - 6 \geqslant 9 - 3x

collect like terms:

2x + 3x \geqslant 9 + 6 \\ 5x \geqslant 15

divide either sides by 5:

\frac{5x}{5}  \geqslant  \frac{15}{5}  \\  \\ { \underline{ \bf{ \:  \: x \geqslant 3 \:  \: }}}

Compute: (4 + 9) − 3(6) ÷ 2 + 8
Vinil7 [7]
The answer is 12

Step 1. Perform the operations inside the parenthesis:
(4 + 9) − 3(6) ÷ 2 + 8 = 13 - 18 ÷ 2 + 8

Step 2. Division has advantage over subtraction and addition:
13 - 18 ÷ 2 + 8 = 13 - 9 + 8

Step 3. Subtract and add:
13 - 9 + 8 = 12

The length of each side of a square is 3 in. more than the length of each side of a smaller square. The sum of the areas of the
dolphi86 [110]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

let the smaller square be A, and the side is a

larger square is B, the side is a+3

Area(A)=a^2

Area(B)=(a+3)^2

a^2+(a+3)^2=425 in^2

a^2+a^2+6a+9=425

2a^2+6a=425-9

2(a^2+3a)=416 we divide by 2

a^2+3a=208

we solve the quadratic function

we will get two roots, a(1)=13, and the negative answer we will ignore

a=13 and the side of the larger square is 13+3=16
