The formula of cone's capacity is V = (1 / 3) (pi x r x h)
we know that r = 3.5, we must find h, the slant height is H=6.5, applying pythagorean theorem h ^2 = H^2, so h= sqrt (H^2 - r^2)
h = sqrt (6.5^2 - 3.5^2) = 5.47
finally, V = (1 / 3) (3.14 x 3.5 x 5.47) = 20.03 cm^3
the surface are is A = pi x r x H = 71.43 cm^2

AlMarai, a beverage company is planning to change its juice package size. Currently, there are 9 ounces of juice in each package
Andre45 [30]

The percentage of more juices that will be in the new package is 35.71%

What are word problems?

Word problems in mathematics are things happening in our daily life and we can use mathematical concepts and arithmetic operations to put a solution to those things.

From the given information, it was stated that:

 • Almarai usually have 9 ounces of juice in each package, while
 • Their new package will contain 14 ounces.

Our objective is to find the percentage of more juice that will be in the new package.

The percentage of more juice in the new package will be:

\mathbf{=\dfrac{14 - 9}{14} \times 100 \%}

\mathbf{=\dfrac{5}{14} \times 100 \%}

= 35.71%

Which describes the relationship between 15,700 and 157,000? A 15,700 is 1/10 of 157,000 B 157,000 is 1/10 of 15,700 C 15,700 is
viva [34]

Answer: 15,700 is 1/10 of 157,000 (A)

Step-by-step explanation:

The relationship between 15,700 and 157,000 is that 15,700 is 1/10 of 157,000

1/10 × 157,000 = 15,700

A 15,700 is 1/10 of 157,000

= 1/10 × 157,000

= 15700 (Correct)

15700 equals 15700

B 157,000 is 1/10 of 15,700

= 1/10 × 15700 = 1570 (Wrong)

1570 is not equal to 157000

C 15,700 is 1/100 of 157,000

= 1/100 × 157,000 = 1570 (Wrong)

1570 is not equal to 15700

D 157,000 is 1/100 of 15,700

1/100 × 15700 = 157 (Wrong)

157 is not equal to 157000

Find the equation of a circle that has its center at (-4, 3) and has a radius of 5. (x + 4) 2 + (y - 3) 2 = 25
Andreas93 [3]

Answer:

(x+4)^2 + (y-3)^2 = 25

Step-by-step explanation:

You can use the center of a circle to write an equation in vertex form. Vertex form is (x-h)^2+(y-k)^2 = r^2 and the vertex is (h,k). Notice (h,k) are the opposite sign in the equation then as the point.

Here h = -4 and k = 3. Substitute these values and the value r = 5.

(x--4)^2 + (y-3)^2 = 5^2\\(x+4)^2 + (y-3)^2 = 25
