Given equations are

f(x)=2x+24

g(x)=5(0.5)^x

Now we have to complete the table so that we can find for what value of x, both f(x) and g(x) are equal.

values in table are not clear so i will draw a fresh table using values x=-2,-1,0,1,2,3,4

I will show you calculation for x=-2

plug x=-2 into f(x) and g(x)

f(-2)=2(-2)+24=-4+24=20

g(-2)=5(0.5)^{-2}=5(\frac{1}{2})^{-2}=5(\frac{1}{2^{-2}})=5(2^2)=5(4)=20

Similarly you can find other values to complete the table.

From table we see that f(x) and g(x) both are equal to 20 when x=-2

Hence x=-2 is the final answer.

A car, initially at rest, accelerates at 2 meters/s/s. assuming the car starts from rest, how far will it travel in 10 s?
MrRa [10]
We shall use the formula for distance traveled:
s = ut + (1/2)at^2
where
u = initial velocity
t = time
a =  acceleration.

Because
u = 0 (car starts from rest),
t = 10 s (travel tme),
a = 2 m/s^2 (acceleration), m
the di mstance traveled is
s = (1/2)*(2 m/s^2)*(10 s)^2 = (1/2)*2*100 = 100

M is the centroid (center of gravity) of △ABC, line k goes thru M and intersects AB and AC . The distances of the vertices B and
lana [24]

Answer:

  30

Step-by-step explanation:

The midpoint of BC will be a distance from line k that is the average of the distances of B and C: (17+13)/2 = 15. Call that midpoint P. We know distance MP is half of distance MA. This same relationship will hold with respect to the distances from P and A to any line through M. That is, the distance from line k (through M) is twice the distance from P to line k: 30 units.
