A possible means for making an airplane invisible to radar is to coat the plane with an antireflective polymer. If radar waves h

ave a wavelength of 2.92 cm and the index of refraction of the polymer is n = 1.30, how thick (in cm) would you make the coating? (Assume that the index of refraction of the plane is higher than that of the coating. Also assume that the radar waves are normal to the surface of the coating. Give the minimum thickness that would make the airplane invisible to radar.)

Answer:

The thickness is  t =  0.5615 \ cm

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

    The wavelength of the of the rader waves is  \lambda = 2.92 \ cm

     The index of refraction of the polymer is  n = 1.30

The thickness is mathematically represented as

             t =  \frac{\lambda }{4 n }

Substituting values

            t =  \frac{2.92}{4 *  1.30 }

          t =  0.5615 \ cm

Answer: F=0.075N

Explanation:

T*cos(θ) = mg=0.005X9.8

T*cos(θ)=0.049N

T = 0.049/cosθ

F = k*q1*q2 / r2

F = 8.9875 * 10^9 * q1*q2 / r^2 q1

F = 8.9875 * 10^9 * (5 x 10^-6)^2 / r^2

F=0.2246875/r^2

r= 2Lsinθ = 2 x 1 x sinθ =2sinθ

Deduce the relation between kwh and joule define 1 watt
dimulka [17.4K]

Explanation:

We know that kWh is a commercial unit of energy.

Also, 1 Joule = 1 watt × 1 seconds

1\ kWh=1kW \times 1\ h

Since ,1 h = 3600 s and 1kW = 1000 W

1\ kWh=1000\ W \times 3600\ s\\\\1\ kWh = 36\times 10^5\ W-s\\\\1\ kWh=36\times 10^5\ J

So, the relation is : 1\ kWh=36\times 10^5\ J

1 watt is defined as the power of an appliance when the energy is transferred at a rate of 1 Joule per second.
