. Part A: Create an equation that shows the amount of money earned, M, for working x hours in a week when there is no overtime. (3 points) Part B: Create an equation that shows the amount of wages earned, T, for working y hours of overtime. Hint: Remember to include in the equation the amount earned from working 30 hours. (3 points) Part C: Evan earned $510 in 1 week. How many hours (regular plus overtime) did he work? Show your work. (4 points)

1. M(x)=12x, with domain x < or =30, x a natural number {1,2,3,...30}

2. T(y)=12*30+15y

    T(y)=360+15y is the function which gives the wage after 30 hours of regular time and y of overtime.

3. T(y)=510
     360+15y=510
              15y=510-360=150
                   y=10 hours of overtime (and 30 of regular time.

6 9/10 x 20/21<br> Simplify your answer completely and change to a mixed number.
Sidana [21]

Answer:

6\frac{4}{7}

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello,

I am going to start with to change to a improper fraction:

1. I will convert 6 and 9/10 into a improper fraction:

69/10

2. Now that I have converted the mixed fraction into a improper I can multiply the numerator and the denominator.

69 * 20 / 21 * 10 = 1380/210

3. Now I can simplify this value and convert it into a mixed fraction

46/7

After further simplifying I can convert this into an mixed number

which ordered pairs in the form (x, y) are solutions to the equation 3x−4y=21 ? Select each correct answer. (−1, −6) (−3, 3) (11
Valentin [98]

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

To determine which ordered pairs are solutions to the equation

Substitute the x and y values into the left side of the equation and if equal to the right side then they are a solution.

(- 1, - 6)

3(- 1) - 4(- 6) = - 3 + 24 = 21 = right side ← thus a solution

(- 3, 3)

3(- 3) - 4(3) = - 9 - 12 = - 21 ≠ 21 ← not a solution

(11, 3)

3(11) - 4(3) = 33 - 12 = 21 = right side ← thus a solution

(7, 0)

3(7) - 4(0) = 21 - 0 = 21 = right side ← thus a solution

The ordered pairs (- 1, - 6), (11, 3), (7, 0) are solutions to the equation
