(2 3/4) / (1/2) = x / 1.....2 3/4 miles to 1/2 hr = x miles to 1 hr
(11/4) / (1/2) = x/1
cross multiply
(1/2)(x) = (11/4)(1)
1/2x = 11/4
x = (11/4) / (1/2)
x = 11/4 * 2/1
x = 22/4
x = 5 1/2 <=== she jogged 5 1/2 miles per hr
