Answer:

L = 0.108 H

Explanation:

given,

impedance in the series circuit(Z) = 62 Ω

Power factor = 0.720

frequency = 47 Hz

A) Inductor will be placed in series so, that circuit raises to its power factor.

B)  Using expression of power factor

    cos \phi = \dfrac{R}{Z}

    R = Z cos \phi

    R = 62 \times 0.720

          R = 44.64 N

Source voltage lags since it is capacitive element, Capacitive reactant can is given by

  X_c = \sqrt{Z^2-R^2}

  X_c = \sqrt{55^2-44.64^2}

  X_c =32.12\ ohm

Power factor is unity

    \dfrac{R'}{Z'} = 1

           R' = Z'

impedence

X_L = \sqrt{R^2 + (X_L-X_C)^2}

X_L-X_C = 0

X_L= X_C

Inductive reactance

X_L = L\omega

L = \dfrac{X_L}{\omega}

L = \dfrac{X_L}{2\pi f}

L = \dfrac{32.12}{2\pi \times 47}

L = 0.108 H

A 100 N force causes an object to accelerate at 2 m/s2. What is the mass of the<br> object?
satela [25.4K]

Answer:

50 kg

Explanation:

Given,

Force ( F ) = 100 N

Acceleration ( a ) = 2 m/s^2

To find : Mass ( m ) = ?

Formula : -

F = ma

m = F / a

= 100 / 2

m = 50 kg

Therefore, the mass of the object is 50 kg.

How many atoms are in 3MgCl2?
Bogdan [553]

Answer:

3MgCl2 has 9 atoms.

Explanation:

The Element Magnesium (Mg) has 3 atoms.

The Element Chloride (Cl) has 6 attoms.

Their fore 6 + 3 is 9 of course. 3MgCl2 has 9 atoms.

BTW: 3MgCl2 is a molecular compound as well as H2O and CO2.

An automobile moves on a level horizontal road in a circle of radius 30 m. The coefficient of
blondinia [14]

Answer:

v = 12.12 m/s

Explanation:

It is given that,

Radius of circle, r = 30 m

The coefficient friction between tires and road is 0.5,

The centripetal force is balanced by the force of friction such that,

v = 12.12 m/s

So, the maximum speed with which this car can round this curve is 12.12 m/s. Hence, this is the required solution.
