Answer:

L = 0.108 H

Explanation:

given,

impedance in the series circuit(Z) = 62 Ω

Power factor = 0.720

frequency = 47 Hz

A) Inductor will be placed in series so, that circuit raises to its power factor.

B)  Using expression of power factor

    cos \phi = \dfrac{R}{Z}

    R = Z cos \phi

    R = 62 \times 0.720

          R = 44.64 N

Source voltage lags since it is capacitive element, Capacitive reactant can is given by

  X_c = \sqrt{Z^2-R^2}

  X_c = \sqrt{55^2-44.64^2}

  X_c =32.12\ ohm

Power factor is unity

    \dfrac{R'}{Z'} = 1

           R' = Z'

impedence

X_L = \sqrt{R^2 + (X_L-X_C)^2}

X_L-X_C = 0

X_L= X_C

Inductive reactance

X_L = L\omega

L = \dfrac{X_L}{\omega}

L = \dfrac{X_L}{2\pi f}

L = \dfrac{32.12}{2\pi \times 47}

L = 0.108 H

What is a magnetic field’s shape?
Agata [3.3K]

Answer:

Magnets come in a variety of shapes and one of the more common is the horseshoe (U) magnet. The horseshoe magnet has north and south poles just like a bar magnet but the magnet is curved so the poles lie in the same plane. The magnetic lines of force flow from pole to pole just like in the bar magnet.

Difference between friction and gravity<br>
diamong [38]

Explanation:

Friction

Resistance defines friction. Friction consists of the resistance of one object in relation to another object with which it is in contact. Thus, friction is the force that opposes sliding motion, explains the Cornell Center for Materials Research. An example of friction involves removing a stain from clothing. You place detergent on a stained shirt, then repeatedly slide part of the shirt against the stained section. The friction eliminates the stain from the shirt.

Gravity

Gravity is simply defined as what goes up must come down. Gravity is the natural force exerted between two objects, drawing them toward each other. Therefore, instead of an object such as an apple thrown in the air staying there or floating, it falls down. Weight is extremely important to gravity. Gravity always exerts a force equal to the weight of the object it is acting on. A cup remains on a table because the upward force of the table is equal to the weight of the cup, causing it to stay in place.
