The x-axis of the graph is the time while y-axis of the given plot is the money inside Lucy's purse in dollars. we can see that from 6 am to 11 am, Lucy's money is equal to about $60 while around 11 am it rose up to around $125 and then decreased to $100. This means that in the given range of time, only one transaction per time range was done by Lucy. One scenario here was that before lunch, say 11 am, her money was $60 and found out that she has to buy something after work, in which her money was not enough. She went to withdraw some cash that's why she had $125 in total and has to spend a portion of it at lunch with the remaining cash of $100.

Nana76 [90]

Answer:

a. 341.902.

Step-by-step explanation:

Normal Probability Distribution:

Problems of normal distributions can be solved using the z-score formula.

In a set with mean \mu and standard deviation \sigma, the z-score of a measure X is given by:

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

The Z-score measures how many standard deviations the measure is from the mean. After finding the Z-score, we look at the z-score table and find the p-value associated with this z-score. This p-value is the probability that the value of the measure is smaller than X, that is, the percentile of X. Subtracting 1 by the p-value, we get the probability that the value of the measure is greater than X.

n instances of a normal variable:

For n instances of a normal variable, the mean is n\mu and the standard deviation is s = \sigma\sqrt{n}

60 days, for each day, mean 6, variance of 12.

So

\mu = 60*6 = 360

s = \sqrt{12}\sqrt{60} = 26.8328

What is the 25th percentile of her total wait time over the course of 60 days?

X when Z has a p-value of 0.25, so X when Z = -0.675.

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{s}

-0.675 = \frac{X - 360}{26.8328}

X - 360 = -0.675*26.8328

X = 341.902

Thus, the correct answer is given by option A.

The team won 18 of its 30 games. What was the team’s won-lost ratio?
NemiM [27]

Answer:

18:12 (accurate)

3:2 (simplified)

Step-by-step explanation:

The team won 18 games out of 30 total games. Find the amount of games lost by simply subtracting 18 with 30:

30 - 18 = 12

The ratio you are trying to find is won to lost, or won:lost. Plug in the corresponding numbers to the corresponding terms:

won:lost ⇒ 18:12

18:12 is the ratio.

If the teacher asks you to simplify, factor both sides. Divide 6 from both sides:

(18)/6 : (12)/6

3:2

3:2 is your simplified ratio.
