Republican motherhood was an ideology that held: women should be granted suffrage rights. women played an indispensable role in

the new nation by training future citizens. thomas jefferson s republican party represented maternal interests better than its opponents did. education was wasted on women, who should only worry about having many children to populate the republic. political equality of the sexes fit a republican society.

Training the future citizens--Women were called to help create a moral and knowledgeable group of future citizens for the new country.

Republican Motherhood became the role for women and the reason they were not asked or allowed to play a political role. They needed to nurture morality and values in the children of the new country so the US would have a next generation to keep the work of the Founding Fathers going.

How did muhhmad viewed religion
olga_2 [115]
Mohammed made explicit calls to treat people of other monotheistic faiths as brothers and sisters in religion. The most famous is the hadith where he asked Christians and Jews to pray alongside him in the mosque (even if they had no intention of converting to Islam). It is important to note, however, that he did not extend this tolerant attitude to the pagans, polytheists, and spirit doctors that he encountered throughout Arabia. Therefore, although he was incredibly tolerant for his period in history, he would not be considered tolerant by modern standards
