Telescopes have three functions
1 to collect more light
2 To resolve close objects
3 To magnify.
Explanation:
To collect more light we have to build large sized mirrors..Then only we can see very faint objects.
To separate two close objects a also we need large aperture
So by making large telescopes we can see more faint objects and more deeper into universe..

A golfer gives a ball a maximum initial speed of 51.5 m/s. how far does it go
nata0808 [166]

Answer:

Golf ball will go a maximum of 270.36 meter.

Explanation:

  Projectile motion has two types of motion Horizontal and Vertical motion.

Vertical motion:

          We have equation of motion, v = u + at, where v is the final velocity, u is the initial velocity, a is the acceleration and t is the time taken.

          Considering upward vertical motion of projectile.

          In this case, Initial velocity = vertical component of velocity = u sin θ, acceleration = acceleration due to gravity = -g m/s^2 and final velocity = 0 m/s.

         0 = u sin θ - gt

          t = u sin θ/g

     Total time for vertical motion is two times time taken for upward vertical motion of projectile.

     So total travel time of projectile = 2u sin θ/g

Horizontal motion:

   We have equation of motion , s= ut+\frac{1}{2} at^2, s is the displacement, u is the initial velocity, a is the acceleration and t is the time.

   In this case Initial velocity = horizontal component of velocity = u cos θ, acceleration = 0 m/s^2 and time taken = 2u sin θ /g

  So range of projectile,  R=ucos\theta*\frac{2u sin\theta}{g} = \frac{u^2sin2\theta}{g}

  Now in the given problem

     A golfer gives a ball a maximum initial speed of 51.5 m/s. how far does it go

     u = 51.5 m/s, for maximum range θ = 45⁰

   So maximum distance reached = \frac{51.5^2sin(2*45)}{9.81}=270.36 meter

So it will go a maximum of 270.36 meter.

To help you rank the reactivity of the three metals you will be creating atomic charge models for each of the elements. You may
gtnhenbr [62]

Metals tend to readily lose electrons and form cations. Most of them react with atmospheric oxygen to form metal oxides. However, different metals have different reactivities towards oxygen (unreactive metals such as gold and platinum do not readily form oxides when exposed to air

Which is more accurate slope o average?
Novay_Z [31]
As long as the graph is a straight line they both will give same answer. Edit: In the case of errors,I think the most fitting slope line is more accurate method,because taking average is same as drawing a line from initial to final point of the line and taking its slope.
Hope it helps

The drawing shows a triple jump on a checkerboard, starting at the center of square A and ending on the center of square B. Each
professor190 [17]

Answer:

Each jump covers one center of the square to the other. If you can imagine the scenario, a single jump would cover a length of the side of one whole square. So, if it took three jumps, the total distance would be

d = 3 * 5 cm

d = 15 cm

Therefore, the magnitude or distance is 15 cm. The displacement depends on the direction of motion.

What are the animal life like in the tundra
beks73 [17]
The tundra is one of the coldest biomes so I would say that the animals have to be adapted. Maybe fur coats‍♀️they have to be warm and they also need food..I dunno I would think about how they live within the biome—(I added a picture of a tundra Biome)
