You need to create a fenced off region of land for cattle to graze. The grazing area must be a total of 500 square feet, surroun

ded by a fence, and in the shape of a regular polygon. Within this grazing area, the length of the apothem must be 10 feet long. Part 1. Find the total perimeter of the grazing area. Part 2. If the cost of the fence is $7.95 per linear foot, how much will it cost to place a fence around entire grazing area? Part 3. Suppose this grazing area is 1/60 of an Industrial grazing area for a major industry farm.What is the total cost to build a fence around the entire land of the large scaled farm?

Answer:

Part 1: The perimeter of total grazing area is 100 feet.

Part 2: The cost of fencing the entire grazing area is $759.

Part 3: The total cost to build a fence around the entire land of the large scaled farm is $ 45540.

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula of area of regular polygon = \frac{ap}{2}

Where a is apothem and p is perimeter.

We are given that  The grazing area must be a total of 500 square feet.

We are also given that the length of the apothem must be 10 feet long.

So, area = 500 sq. ft.

a = 10 ft.

So,  500=\frac{10 \times p}{2}

1000=10 \times p

100= p

Part 1: Hence the perimeter of total grazing area is 100 feet.

Now cost of fencing 1 foot = $7.59

So, cost of fencing 100 feet = 7.59 \times 100 = 759

Part 2: Hence the cost of fencing the entire grazing area is $759.

Let the industrial grazing area be x

Since we are given that this grazing area is 1/60 of an Industrial grazing area

So, \frac{x}{60}= 500

x= 500\times 60

x=30000

So, area of large scaled far is 30000 sq.ft.

now ,Area = \frac{ap}{2}

So, a = 10 feet

So, 30000=\frac{10p}{2}

60000=10p

6000=p

Cost of fencing 1 foot = $7.59

So, cost of fencing 6000 feet = 7.59 \times 6000 = 45540

Part 3: Hence the total cost to build a fence around the entire land of the large scaled farm is $ 45540.

A.
the area of a polygon is/
A= perimeter X apothem /2
A=500
apothem = 10
500 = (P * 10)/2
P =100

B. 100*7.95 = $795

C.
60*100= 6,000
6,000 * $7.95=

The height of a cable that runs between two supports on a suspension bridge can be modeled by a quadratic function () where is t
Murrr4er [49]

What is the vertex

Its vertex is at (36, -10)

Let us assume that the left edge of the cable is at the origin.

Since the cable is at its lowest height 10 feet halfway between the two supports, the y-coordinate of its lowest point is -10 ft and the x coordinate is 72 ft/2 = 36 ft.

So, its vertex is at (36, -10)

Axis of symmetry

The y-axis.

Since the cable is symmetric about its lowest point, the axis of symmetry is the y-axis.

Domain

The domain is (0, 72).

Since the minimum value of its x-coordinate is at the origin which is x = 0 and the maximum value is at the other support which is at x = 72 ft,

the domain is (0, 72).

Range

The range is (0, -10)

Since the minimum value of the y-coordinate is -10ft and the maximum value is at the origin y = 0,

the range is (0, -10)

x and y-intercepts

The x-intercept is (0, 72) and the y-intercept is (0, 0)

Since the cable is attached at the origin and at 72 feet away  from the origin at the other support, the x-intercept is 0 and 72 ft and the y-intercepts are 0 and 0.

So, the x-intercept is (0, 72) and the y-intercept is (0, 0)

Please answer anyone you can will appreciate it
Pavel [41]
Well, for the first question, the answers will be (a) 13 per row, because 13*13=169, and (b) a square, because the dimensions will be 13x13.

A Standard number is<br> tossed find each<br> Probability.<br> P (4 or less than 6)
Klio2033 [76]

the probability of rolling 4 or a number less than 6 is P = 5/6

<h3 /><h3>How to find the probability?</h3>

The standard number cube has the outcomes {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}

We want to find the probability of rolling 4 or a number less than 6. (4 is a number less than 6).

The outcomes that meet that condition are:

{1, 2, 3, 4, 5}

So 5 out of 6 outcomes meet the condition, then the probability is:

P(4 or less than 6) = 5/6
