Answer:

The acceleration and charge are 17.122 m/s² and 8.6\times10^{-5}\ C

Explanation:

Given that,

Mass of object = 0.8 g

Electric field = 159 N/C

Distance = 72 m

Time = 2.9 s

We know that,

The electric force is

F = Eq....(I)

The newton's second law

F=ma

Put the value of F in the equation (I)

ma=Eq...(II)

We calculate the acceleration

Using equation of motion

s=ut+\dfrac{1}{2}at^2

a =\dfrac{2s}{t^2}

a=\dfrac{2\times72}{(2.9)^2}

a=17.122\ m/s^2

From equation (II)

q=\dfrac{ma}{E}

q=\dfrac{0.8\times10^{-3}\times17.122}{159}

q=0.000086148427673\ C

q=8.6\times10^{-5}\ C

Hence, The acceleration and charge are 17.122 m/s² and 8.6\times10^{-5}\ C

A 400.0 kg storage box is held 10 m above ground by a forklift. What is its gravitational potential energy? (PE = mgh)
castortr0y [4]

Answer: D.) 39,200 J

Via the equation of potential energy PE = mgh where m is mass, g is the average gravity on earth and h is the height.  In this case m = 400 kg, g = 9.8, h = 10 m thus:

P.E.=(400kg)(9.8\frac{m}{s^2} )(10m)=39,200 J

P.E.= 39,200 Joules

Neon atoms at 245 K pass through a fan that gives each mole of neon gas an additional kinetic energy of 16.0 J. Part A What is t
hjlf

Answer:

246.28 K

Explanation:

The total energy of one mole of gas molecules can be calculated by the formula given below

E = \frac{3}{2}\times R\times T

Where R is gas constant and T is absolute temperature.

Put the value of R as 8.314 and temperature as 245 , we get

E = \frac{3}{2}\times 8.314\times 245

= 3055.4 J

Add 16 j to it

Total energy of gas molecules = 3055.4 + 16 = 3071.4 J.

If T be the temperature after addition of energy then

\frac{3}{2}\times 8.314\times T = 3071.4

T =\frac{2\times 3071.4}{3\times 8.314}

T = 246.28 K

One litre of crude oil weighs 9.6N. Calculate its specific weight, density and specific gravity.
Zepler [3.9K]

Answer:

The answer is "\bold{9600 \frac{N}{m^3}, 978.59 \frac{kg}{m^3}, and \ 0.978}"

Explanation:

Given:

\to v=1\ liter= 10^{-3} \ m^3\\\\\to  w= 9.6 \ N\\

calculation:

Specific \ weight =\frac{w}{v}=\frac{9.6}{10^{-3}}=9600 \frac{N}{m^3} \\\\w=mg\\\\m= \frac{w}{g}=\frac{9.6}{9.81}=0.9785\ kg\\\\\rho\ (density)=\frac{m}{v}=\frac{0.9785}{10^{-3}}=978.59 \frac{kg}{m^3}\\\\specific \ gravity = \frac{\prho \ obj}{\rho w}=\frac{978.54}{1000}=0.978
