Answer:

Hemoglobin is an important intracellular protein buffer present inside the red blood cells (RBC). When the partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2) is increased, it freely diffuses into the RBC where it reacts with water molecules to form carbonic acid which dissociates to form bicarbonate and hydrogen ions by the enzyme carbonic acid which dissociates to form bicarbonate and hydrogen ions by the enzyme carbonic anhydrase. Hydrogen ions liberated in this reaction are buffered by hemoglobin.

Explanation:

Free Radicals in the Body

Free radicals are unstable molecules that can damage the cells in your organism. They result when atoms or molecules gain or lose electrons. They  are byproducts of ongoing metabolic processes.

Antioxidants are those molecules in cells that prevent loose radicals from taking electrons and causing celldamage. Antioxidants are capable to give an electron to a free radical without becoming destabilized themselves, thus hinder the free radical chain reactions

Which of the following organs does not contain lymphatic tissue?
Katena32 [7]

Answer:

a. liver

Explanation:

Lymphatic system is involved in maintaining the immunity of the body. Organs associated with it are composed of lymphatic tissue and lymphocyctes are produced here. Lymphocyte is a type of white blood cell.

The main organs containing the lymphatic tissue are thymus, spleen, lymph nodes, tonsils and adenoids. Thymus is the primary lymphoid organ and T cells mature here. Spleen produces immune cells and also removes old red blood cells from blood. When lymphatic tissue is arranged in an area it forms the lymph nodes. Lymph passes through it on its way back to blood. Tonsils are set of lymphoid organs towards the aerodigestive tract. Adenoid is a lymphatic tissue high in the throat behind the nose. It is very prominent in children but starts to shrink after 5 years of age. Liver generally does not have lymphatic tissue.
