Answer:

Recessive allele

Explanation:

 • The alternative forms of that are present for a given gene are known as alleles.
 • Two types of alleles exist for any given gene - these are dominant allele and recessive allele.
 • A dominant allele is the one which always expresses itself in the presence of another allele, that is it can express itself in both heterozygous and homozygous situation.
 • A recessive allele is only able to express itself in a homozygous condition.
 • Since the blond hair is not expressing itself in either the mother or father but only in the daughter, it must be a recessive allele.

What does free floating DNA mean ?
ivann1987 [24]

Cells with cell chemicals and genetic material having no defined organelles and are all enclosed within a cell wall are called prokaryotes. Organisms in this group are small in size and are mainly bacteria. Ribosomes in these small cells are also small and ‘free floating’. DNA in prokaryotic cells is in the form of a circular strand and not as a chromosome.

Have an awesome day! :)

Physical exercise preserves bone mass. Measurements of bone biomarkers may reflect the events in bone during exercise. Fifteen healthy, well-trained individuals (7 men and 8 women) performed a running test for 21 min until exhaustion. Venous blood samples were drawn before and 30 min after the exercise to measure the levels of osteocalcin, the carboxyterminal propeptide of type I procollagen (PICP) and the carboxyterminal cross-linked telopeptide of type I collagen (ICTP). After exercise, the women had a marked increase in serum osteocalcin concentrations (from 7.5±5.0 μg/1 to 11.5±3.0 μg/1), whereas the level was unaffected in the men (from 14.5±3.0 μg/1 to 13.5±4.6 μg/l). In the men there was a marked increase in PICP (from 240±47 μg/1 to 268±56 μg/1) that was not seen in the women (from 244±70 μg/1 to 253±60 μg/1). In neither group did ICTP levels change. In conclusion, significant responses were seen in PICP and osteocalcin during exercise, indicating that such measurements may be valuable for the further delineation of the effects of physical activity on bone. Furthermore, the different responses in men and women point to interesting areas for future studies.

Which of the following are the major phagocytic cells in the body?a. T and B lymphcytesb. Eosinophisc. Erythrocytesd. Macrophage
kupik [55]

Answer:

The correct options are MACROPHAGES AND NEUTROPHILSE.

Explanation:

Majority of the white blood cells in humans are specialized phagocytic cells, examples of these are macrophages, neutrophilse, monoctyes, mast cells and dendritic cells. The major functions of phagocytic cells is to protect the human body from disease pathogens. They do this by ingesting foreign bodies that are found in the body. Macrophages and neutrophilse are the major phagocytic cells in the body, they are the principal effector of non-specific host defense and inflammation.

The enzyme that would be most important for digesting a skinless chicken breast would be a PEPTIDASE.
A skinless chicken breast is a proteinous food and peptidases are enzymes which break down proteins by hydrolysis of the peptide bonds which joined the amino acids of proteins together.
