The soil should also have more quantity of silt and less quantity of sand or pebbles because silt improves aeration and water retention in soil. Clay has extremely small particles. Sand particles and pebbles are too big. Silt does not have extreme sized particles like them and hence is ideal.

Out of the given options only soil #1 has organic matter, sand, clay and silt together. Hence, it is the best soil for growing a tomato plant.
