The four soil samples have not been provided. They have been attached.

Answer:

Soil #1

Explanation:

Good soil for cultivation has sufficient organic matter because it provides nutrients for the growing plant. It also binds the soil particles together, increasing its water retention capacity.

The soil should also have more quantity of silt and less quantity of sand or pebbles because silt improves aeration and water retention in soil. Clay has extremely small particles. Sand particles and pebbles are too big. Silt does not have extreme sized particles like them and hence is ideal.

Out of the given options only soil #1 has organic matter, sand, clay and silt together. Hence, it is the best soil for growing a tomato plant.

Where do plants obtain the oxygen necessary to utilize foods? directly from products of photosynthesis from the splitting of wat
IceJOKER [234]

Answer:

from the splitting of water molecule.

Explanation:

The splitting of water molecules by sunlight is called Photolysis. This is the first reaction in photosynthesis; which occurs by catalysis of enzymes of Photo system 11.

It involves the splitting of water molecules into;

hydrogen ion/protons.

Oxygen

and electron.

Oxygen is the by product liberated into the atmosphere, for animals to inhale for the process of cellular respiration.This is the source of oxygen fro cellular respiration in animals.

the hydrogen ions combined with electrons from photosystem 1 to reduce NADP .The latter is used to reduce C02 to form carbohydrate in light independent reaction

What is the role of a lipid molecule, which atoms make up most lipids, how does the lipids structure relate to its function.
Alisiya [41]

Answer and explanation;

-All lipids contain carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. Some of them also contain nitrogen and phosphorus. The four main classes of lipids are fats, waxes, sterols, and phospholipids. Fats are triglycerides.

-The functions of lipids include storing energy, signaling, and acting as structural components of cell membranes.

-Lipids are water-insoluble (hydrophobic), and this property is put to great use in the organisation of cells and tissues.

For example; phospholipids are a class of lipids that is amphipathic; that is it contains fatty acid tails that are hydrophobic, and a phosphate head that is hydrophilic. This means the phosphate group will orientate itself towards water and away from the rest of the molecule, and also gives rise to the special properties that allow phospholipids to be used to form membranes.
