Being able to do this problem hinges mainly on your knowing the definitions of the trig functions and being able to read side lengths from the given diagram.

csc theta = hypotenuse / opp side = 4 / √(4^2 + 5^2) = 4 / √41.

sin theta is the reciprocal of csc theta, or √41 / 4.

cot theta is adj side / opp side = 5/4.

PolarNik [594]

Answer:

The transformations included are

1) Reflection about the y-axis

2) 90° clockwise rotation

3) Reflection about the y-axis

4) Translation T(0, 21)

5) Translation T(14, 0)

Step-by-step explanation:

Reflecting a pre-image about the y-axis gives;

Point (x, y) becomes (-x, y)

Rotation 90° clockwise gives (x, y) becomes (-y, x)

Translating (x, y) by T(0, 21) gives (x, y + 21)

Translating (x, y) by T(14, 0) gives (x + 14, y).

The screen capture of the coordinates from the original solution that was having issue posting after answering is attached along side the figure chart

Lauren could solve (1/2)(4+0.5) to find the x-intercept.

Finding the midpoint is equivalent to partitioning a line segment a 1:1 ratio.
