The mineral that calciltonin and parathyroid hormone regulate would be calcium. These two hormones work together to regulate and maintain the calcium ion level present in blood. Calcitonin is a hormone that is being produced by the C-cells which controls phosphate and calcium levels in the body by reducing the levels, counteracting the action of the parathyroid hormone which raises the level of the phosphate and the calcium ions in the blood. The parathyoroid hormone is produced in the parathyroid glands which functions in bone remodeling and controlling calcium levels. Together, they work together to maintain the levels of these ions in the blood which would be the safest level.

What ultimately happens to the light energy captured during photosynthesis?
Degger [83]

Answer:

The correct answer is- It is used to produce glucose molecule

Explanation:

Photosynthesis is a process in which light energy is captured by chlorophyll which is then used to convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose. Oxygen is also produced as a by-product in this process.

The light energy is used to split water into oxygen, hydrogen ions and release electrons from it. The electrons pass through many electron carriers through photosystem II and I and ultimately reduce NADH+ to NADPH which is used in the Calvin cycle to produce glucose.

Therefore glucose is produced by the help of light energy captured during photosynthesis.

Alexis is out mowing the lawn and starts to feel dehydrated. Her ______ will secrete vasopressin. A patient suffering from sever
adoni [48]

1. The right answer is - Hypothalamus (manufactured by the hypothalamus, stored in the pituitary gland).

Vasopressin, or antidiuretic hormone, is a peptide hormone synthesized by the supraoptic and paraventricular nuclei of the hypothalamus, and released by the posterior pituitary gland (neurohypophysis).

It mainly has an anti-diuretic role in the kidney, where it causes a reabsorption of water via an action on the distal segment of the nephron during a dehydration body. Its gene is AVP located on human chromosome 20.

2. The right answer is - Increased Secretion of Vasopressin To Maintain Less Loss Of Water.

Vasopressin has an antidiuretic action: it decreases the volume of urine by increasing the water permeability of the collecting tube. It binds to the V2 receptor, which is coupled to a Gα protein, which activates a signaling cascade through the PKA. This causes the synthesis of aquaporin 2 (transmembrane pore) as well as its translocation to the apical / urinary membrane.
