Answer:

restoring force is 2 N

Explanation:

given data

angle pulled = 5°

force = 1 N

pulled = 10°

to find out

restoring force

solution

we know here force

force = m×g×sinθ     ..........1

so here θ is very small so sinθ  = θ

1 = mg(5)

mg = 1 /5     ..................2

and

now for 10 degree

we know here θ is small so sinθ  = θ

so from equation 1

force = m×g×sinθ

put equation 2 here

force = 1/5 × 10

force = 2 N

so restoring force is 2 N

A mass hanged on a spring scale. what is the force exerted by gravity on 700g ?
Ipatiy [6.2K]

Answer:

6.86 N

Explanation:

Applying,

F = mg............... Equation 1

Where F = Force exerted by gravity on the mass, m = mass, g = acceleration due to gravity

Note: The Force exerted by gravity on the mass is thesame as the weight of the body.

From the question,

Given: m = 700 g = (700/1000) = 0.7 kg

Constant: g = 9.8 m/s²

Substitute these values into equation 1

F = 9.8(0.7)

F = 6.86 N

A student carries a backpack for one mile. Another student carries the same backpack for two miles
Svetllana [295]

Answer:

Compared to the first student, the second student did twice as much work as the first student.

Explanation:

The work done by the first student will be equal to the Force exerted by the backpack on the student carrying it multiplied by one mile (Distance).  The work done by the second student will be equal to the Force exerted by the backpack on the student carrying it multiplied by two miles (Distance).

As the wavelength increases, the frequency (2 points) decreases and energy decreases. increases and energy increases. decreases
frozen [14]
Bohr's equation for the change in energy is
\Delta E= \frac{hc}{\lambda}
where
h = Planck's constant
c == the velocity of light
λ = wavelength.

The velocity is related to wavelength and frequency, f, by
c = fλ

Let us examine the given answers on the basis of the given equations.

a. As λ increases, f decreases and ΔE decreases.
     TRUE

b. As λ increases, f increases and ΔE increases.
    FALSE

c. As λ increases, f increases and ΔE decreases.

A number line goes from negative 5 to positive 5. Point D is at negative 4 and point E is at positive 5. A line is drawn from po
saul85 [17]

The location of the point F that partitions a line segment from D to E (\overline{DE}), that goes from <u>negative 4</u> to <u>positive 5,</u> into a 5:6 ratio is fifteen halves (option 4).

We need to calculate the segment of the line DE to find the location of point F.

Since point D is located at <u>negative -4</u> and point E is at <u>positive 5</u>, we have:

\overline{DE} = E - D = 5 - (-4) = 9

Hence, the segment of the line DE (\overline{DE}) is 9.

Knowing that point F partitions the line segment from D to E (\overline{DE}) into a <u>5:6 ratio</u>, its location would be:

F = \frac{5}{6}\overline{DE} = \frac{5}{6}9 = 5*\frac{3}{2} = \frac{15}{2}

Therefore, the location of point F is fifteen halves (option 4).
