Well one way to think of this since the equation is going through the origin is to recognize this linear function as proportional and can be represented by y = kx.. Where 'k' represents the constant of proportionality.  We can find the constant of proportionality by asking ourselves what can we multiply the x coordinate by to get the y coordinate for each point on the line?  Consider the point (1, n)  You can see the constant of proportionality would be 'n' and our equation would then be y = nx

Find the probability that a randomly selected point within the circle falls in the white area
MrMuchimi

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The white area is the area of the circle minus the area of the triangle.

Aw=pr^2-hb/2

Aw=p4^2-6.5(6)/2

Aw=16p-19.5

The probability of selecting the white area is the white area divided by the area of the circle

P(W)=(16p-19.5)/(16p), p=3.14

P(W)=0.61

There are 172 South American animals in the Springdale zoo. That is 45 more than half the number of african animals in the zoo.
patriot [66]
N=number of African animals in the zoo;
we suggest this equation:
172=45+n/2
Least common multiple=2
172*2=45*2+n
344=90+n
n=344-90
n=254

Answer: there are 254 African animals in the zoo.

A standard deck of 52 cards has 13 ranks (Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King) and 4 suits ($\spadesuit$, $\heart
Furkat [3]

Answer:

4 / 663

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that :

Number of cards in a standard deck = 52

Number of 3's in s standard deck = 4 (each suit has one card each)

Number of 8's in a standard deck = 4 (each suit has one card each)

Probability, P = required outcome / Total possible outcomes

Choosing without replacement :

P(top card is a 3) = 4 / 52

P(second draw is 8) = 4 / 51

P(top card is a 3 and second is 8) :.

4/52 * 4/51 = 16 / 2652 = 4 / 663
