Kwame, Rosalinda, and Sven work at Security First Trust and National Reserve, a medium-sized bank with 240 branches in eight sta

tes. Kwame works as a teller. Rosalinda works as one of five regional supervisors, each of whom is expected to supervise a team of tellers. Kwame recently received instructions from his supervisor that all tellers will be evaluated on the number of people they assist at their window per day. Serving more customers means higher performance effectiveness. However, Kwame is also expected to follow the bank's number-one goal of customer satisfaction. Rosalinda is facing her own challenges. Two of the regional supervisors suddenly left the bank for other opportunities, resulting in a significant increase in work responsibility and time pressure for Rosalinda and the remaining two supervisors. Just two days before the two regional supervisors quit, the bank hired Sven as a supervisor trainee. With the bank suddenly short-handed, Sven was asked to take up all the responsibilities of a regional supervisor. Answer:

The correct answer is: A challenge stressor.

Explanation:

A challenge stressor can be defined as a request that is considered stressful, challenging, demanding, and difficult by the individual to whom the request is made, but he or she also considers the task as an opportunity for learning, improving, achieving, and mastering a particular skill.

A challenge stressor is a demand that is both rewarding and stressful, and the individual can approach it either constructively or destructively.

In this particular case, Sven is encountering stress resulting from challenge stressors because the bank hired him as a supervisor trainee and therefore he has to take all of the responsibilities of a regional supervisor.

Sven probably feels glad for this opportunity but anxious because it is a new level of responsibility that he has acquired.

If the sample size is , what conditions must be satisfied to compute the confidence interval?
Gnesinka [82]

In the confidence interval method the sample data must come from a population that is normally distributed with no outliers.

A confidence interval is a range of values derived from observable data at a desired level of confidence that may include the parameter's true value. The confidence level, such as a 95% confidence level, refers to the accuracy of the estimating process rather than the degree of assurance that the computed confidence interval accurately represents the true value of the parameter under investigation. Confidence intervals are typically written as (some value) ± (a range). The range can be expressed as a percentage or as a real amount. The equation used to determine the confidence interval varies depending on which standard deviation is known.
