Answer:

A non-renewable resource is a natural resource that cannot be readily replaced by natural means at a quick enough pace to keep up with consumption. An example is carbon-based fossil fuel. The original organic matter, with the aid of heat and pressure, becomes a fuel such as oil or gas.

Which factors of Earth's position would contribute to long-term climate change?
vazorg [7]

Answer:

A) its elliptical orbit and tilt on its axis

Explanation:

Earth revolves around the sun in an elliptical path. Its axis is tilted to about 23.5° from the vertical.

These two factors determine the global climate on the Earth.

Due to elliptical orbit, the earth is sometimes closer to sun than the rest of the time. When it is closer the global temperature rises by 5 degrees. Due to the tilt of the Earth, seasons occur. The hemisphere which points towards the sun has summers where as which points away has winters.

Thus, the long-term climate change is effected by elliptical orbit and tilt of the axis.

Dendrochronology, or tree-ring dating, provides absolute dates in two different ways: directly, and by calibrating radiocarbon results. Cross-dating determines the age of undated wood by directly matching ring patterns with trees of known age.

Hope this helps ^^

What ion is entering the axon terminal at A, and what effect does it have?
Katena32 [7]
The ion which is entering axon terminal A is called Ca²⁺.
The effect which it has is, it causes the release of neurotransmitter from the axon terminal.

Axon terminal is termed as distal termination of telodendria of an axon. Another name for the axon terminal is synaptic boutons. Axon is a long, slender projection which is of a nerve cell.
Their work is to conduct electrical impulses which are referred to as action potential which is a way of neurons of the cell body. Neurons use electrochemical signals and also a neurotransmitter chemical which transmits impulses from one neuron to another.
Axon terminals are being separated from neighboring neurons by a gap known as a synapse. Both the axon terminal and neuron they come from a point which is called the presynaptic neuron.
