Answer:

Mass of the cat  = 16800kg

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of the box = its length * its breath * its height- 4m × 3m × 2m = 24m^{3}

The standard density of water is 1000 Kg/m^{3}

By Archimedes principle, the mass of a body  floating body is equivalent to the mass of the volume liquid displaced

in this case we have

Mass of water displaced = Density of the water × Volume of the water  displaced =   1000 Kg/m^{3} × 24m^{3} = 24000kg

The mass of the box = Box density × Box volume = 24m^{3} × 300kg/m^{3} = 7200 kg Hence the mass of water displaced = mass of the foating box + mass of th cat

24000kg =  mass of cat +7200kg

mass of cat = 24000kg - 7200kg = 16800kg

A newborn weighs 8 pounds, 5 ounces. There are 453.59 grams per pound. What is the infant's weight in grams?
Nadya [2.5K]
Convert from Oz and Lbs.

1 Pound = 453.59237 Grams

1 Ounce = 28.3495231 Grams

3628.73896 for Lbs

141.7476155 for Oz

Add them, and you get:

3770.4865755

I didn't know if you needed rounding - it was classified as college.

Hope this helped, and have a good day!

Solve the following logarithmic equations.<br> ln(x^6) = 36
Hoochie [10]

Answer:

The solution is x = e⁶

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi there!

First, let´s write the equation

ln(x⁶) = 36

Apply logarithm property: ln(xᵃ) = a ln(x)

6 ln(x) = 36

Divide both sides of the equation by 6

ln(x) = 6

Apply e to both sides

e^(ln(x)) = e⁶

x = e⁶

The solution is x = e⁶

Let´s prove why e^(ln(x)) = x

Let´s consider this function:

y = e^(ln(x))

Apply ln to both sides of the equation

ln(y) = ln(e^(ln(x)))

Apply logarithm property: ln(xᵃ) = a ln(x)

ln(y) = ln(x) · ln(e)         (ln(e) = 1)

ln(y) = ln(x)

Apply logarithm equality rule: if ln(a) = ln(b) then, a = b

y = x

Since y = e^(ln(x)), then x =e^(ln(x))

Have a nice day!
