If you come acrosson-scene of a 56-year-old female patient experiencing cardiac arrest. The first airway you should administer is the Oropharyngeal airway. Oropharyngeal airway or oral airway for short is known as a medical device considered to be an airway adjunct, which is used to open a patient’s airway and refrain it from being obstructed by the tongue. It prevents the tongue from covering the epiglottis, which could hinder the patient from breathing, when a person turns unconscious, the muscles in the jaw relaxes and allows the tongue to block the airway.

Which step of the PRICES method is represented by the letter S?
IgorC [24]
I haven't heard of PRICES method. I only know of PRICE which stands for P  - protect
R  - rest
I    - ice
C  - compress
E  - elevate

However, since we are dealing with injuries, S can stand for SPLINT. You apply a splint on injuries with broken bones. This is to ensure that the edges of the broken bones will meld and mend together without any difficulty.
