So you can make a function for the price of the trip:

f(x)=2x+4

Then you insert 33 in f(x) and solve for x:
33=3x+4
29=3x
x=9 2/3

The cap ride was 9.66 miles about 10 miles.

33 - 4 = 29.

29 / 2 = 14.5

She traveled 14.5 miles in the cab.

Answer:

The y-coordinate of F is 8.

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of the large triangle = 1/2 * base * height.

From the given coordinates:

The base of the large triangle = x coordinate of C - x coordinate of A

= 11 - 3 = 8 units.

It's height = y coordinate of A = 12, so

Area of large triangle = 1/2 * 8 * 12 = 48 unit^2.

Using a similar calculation for the small triangle:

Base = 10 - 6 = 4 and height = k units.

So it's area = 1/2 * 4 * k = 2k unit^2.

So from given area of the shaded part:

48 - 2k = 32

-2k = -16

k = 8.

Fifteen marbles are in a row . 20% are blue.one third are green. Yellow marbles account for 0.2 of the row . The remaining marbl

15(.20)= 3 marbles are blue.

15(1/3)= 5 are green

15(.20)= 3 are yellow

3+5+3=11 marbles

15-11= 4 that means the rest of them are red.

Find the length of a diagonal of a square whose perimeter is 48
Kazeer [188]

Answer:

\large\boxed{12\sqrt2}

Step-by-step explanation:

a - side of  square

The formula of a perimeter of a square:

P=4a

We have P = 48. Substitute:

48=4a divide both sides by 4

12=a\to a=12

You can use the Pythagorean theorem, and calculate the length of a diagonal or use the formula of a diagonal of a square:

d=a\sqrt2

Substitute:

d=12\sqrt2

The ratio of the perimeters of two similar triangles is 4:7. The sides of the larger triangles are 10, 12, and 13cm,
rjkz [21]

Answer:

Perimeter = 20cm

The perimeter is 35 for the larger triangle = 7:4 ratio

the perimeter for the smaller triangle = 4:7 ratio

We add up 4+7 = 11 and multiply 35 x 2 = 70.

so that the smaller triangle = 40  = 40:70

35 = 7 and 20 = 4

To find measurements of 20

we have any number over 10 combined will make the smaller sides possible,

Where hypotenuse would be under 10.

H = 6.5 Sides = 6 + 5 does not add up to 20

H = 9 Sides = 7 + 4  does have near equal spaced symmetry.

H = 9  Sides = 5 + 6  is wrong as no symmetry in measure

H = 8  Sides = 7 + 5 is wrong as no symmetry in measure

H = 7 Sides = 6 + 7  is wrong as equal sides

H = 6 sides = 6.5 + 6.5 is wrong as equal sides

H = 11 Sides = 6 + 3 is wrong has no symmetry.

The measurements must be 9cm, 7cm and 4 cm for the smaller triangle

The perimeter adds up to 20cm.

How do I solve (5y-29) = (3y+19)
leonid [27]
Answer: y = 24

(5y - 29) = (3y + 19)                       Distributive Property
5y - 29 = 3y + 19                           Subtract 3y from both sides
2y - 29 = 19                                   Add 29 to both sides
2y = 48                                          Divide by 2 to both sides
y = 24                                            Answer!
