Answer:

The best answer to the question: Elvira is the CEO of a firm. She has an opportunity to increase the competitive advantage of her company but is not sure if accepting the opportunity is ethical. Which of the following questions would help her decide if accepting the opportunity is ethical?, would be, A: How would the media report her decision to accept the opportunity if it were to become public?

Explanation:

It must be remembered that ethics is a very complicated issues that has to count in both individual and group factors in it. Although all human beings have certain rules, principles and values that governs them, and by which they live, it is not just in humans that this applies. Corporations, and companies in general, also have to abide by a set of ethics, and leaders in these companies have to work under those codes of ethics established both by society and by the company itself. Here, Elvira has a chance to improve the situation of her company, but her uncertainty about the correctness of her choice shows that she is still measuring the two sides. In the end the thought of how her decision will be portrayed by the media will help her to decide because in essence Elvira would not want her company to receive a bad reputation due to a bad decision from her. So condisering how the choice she makes will affect her company publicly will lead her to make the most ethical choice, which will be what will in the end benefit her company, and not just her.
