Answer : The final volume of the gas is, 34.8 L

Explanation :

Formula used :

w=p\times (V_2-V_1)

where,

w = work done = 137.1 J = 35.8 L.atm      (1 L.atm = 101.3 J)

p = external pressure = 783 torr = 1.03 atm    (1 atm = 760 torr)

V_2 = final volume = ?

V_1 = initial volume = 64.0 mL = 0.0640 L      (1 L = 1000 mL)

Now put all the given values in the above formula, we get:

35.8L.atm=1.03atm\times (V_2-0.0640L)

V_2=34.8L

Thus, the final volume of the gas is, 34.8 L

Which diagram shows electrons violating the Pauli exclusion principle?
Neporo4naja [7]
Correct Answer: Option C

Reason:
<span>The </span>Pauli Exclusion Principle<span> states as '<em>in an atom or molecule, no two electrons can have the same four electronic quantum numbers. Further, an orbital can contain a maximum of only two electrons, the two electrons must have opposing spins.</em>'
</span>
Thus, it can be seen that in option C, electrons in last 2 subshell have electrons with same spin, which is a violation of Pauli Exclusion Principle .

Which sentence is a scientific statement?
LekaFEV [45]

Solution: Sentence D is a scientific statement.

Scientific statement is a statement that defines the science behind any situation. There should be any experimental result or observation to state any scientific statement. Also, the statement should be accepted by considering other scientific aspects.

Here, statement A can not be a scientific statement as different aromas of cooked food are liked by different people. Any one can find aroma of cooked food in copper better than the ceramic pot.

Thus, the statement can be proved wrong easily.

Statement B can not be a scientific statement as people can find the taste of normal water (without ice cubes) better than the ice cold water.

Statement C is not a scientific statement as there is no science behind watching baseball or ice hockey, it depends on the liking of today's people.

Statement D is a scientific statement because this can be scientifically proved.
