Why do phospholipids form a bilayer in water?
fiasKO [112]
I think it has something to do with their polar-nonpolar makeup.  They have a polar head and a nonpolar tail.  Only the polar side bonds with water, so they form two layers so that the polar sides can stick out and bond with the water, while the nonpolar tails can face each other.  Imagine this:
p------n n------p
p------n n------p
And outside the double layer are water molecules bonding with the polar part:

TEA [102]

Answer:

d. environment alters phenotype.

Explanation:

Phenotype refers to the physical characteristics of an organisms such as height, weight, color etc.

Genotype is the genetic composition of an organism.

The phenotype is usually as a result of the environment having an influence on the genotype.

In this case, the other twin is exposed to an environmental condition which is better nutrition. This better nutrition makes the twin taller. Tallness is a phenotypic trait.

This simply means environment altered the phenotype.
