Answer:

9 liters

Step-by-step explanation:

it is really easy, you have Ryan's liters + Noel liters = 15 liters

so, the same:

x + y  = 15

y = 15 - x

and you need the value of "x"

in the formula C1*V1 + C1*V2 = Cf*Vf

it is:

10%*X + 35%*Y = 20%*15

and we use the value of Y:

0.1*X + 0.35*(15 - X) = 0.2*15

so

0.1*X + 5.25 - 0.35X = 3

0.1X - 0.35X = 3 - 5.25

-0.25X = -2.25

X = 2.25/0.25

X= 9!!!!

How to do 15 1/2 - 2 1/10 how to do it
lisov135 [29]

First, you need to make the fractions have the same denominator:

15  1/2        --->       15 + (1/2 x 5)  =   15  5/10

2   1/10       --->       2  1/10

Then you need to subtract them from each other:

  15   5/10

<u>-    2   1/10</u>                   (or)                  15  5/10 - 2 1/10 =   13  4/10

   13   4/10

This gets the answer:   <u>13  4/10</u>

almond37 [142]

Answer:

We conclude that the percent of decrease = 20%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

  • Original amount = $3930
  • Amount of decrease = $3930 - $3144 = $786

Using the formula

Percent of decrease = ( amount of decrease / orignal amount × 100 ) %

                                   = ( 786 / 3930 × 100 ) %

                                    = ( 0.2 × 100 ) %

                                    = 20%

Therefore, we conclude that the percent of decrease = 20%

You have $5600. The best interest rate you can find is 3%
EleoNora [17]

Answer:

18 years

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for computing accrued amount A for a principal of P at an interest rate of r(in decimal) compounded n times in a year for t years is given by

A = P(1 + \frac{r}{n})^{nt}

Note that r is percentage converted to decimal. So 3% = 3/100 = 0.03

We can rearrange the above equation to:

\frac{A}{P} = (1 + \frac{r}{n})^{nt}

Taking logs on both sides

log(\frac{A}{P}) = log(1 + \frac{r}{n})^{nt}

This gives

log(\frac{A}{P}) =nt \times log(1 + \frac{r}{n})\\So,\\nt = \frac{log(\frac{A}{P})}{ log(1 + \frac{r}{n})}

In this particular problem, n = 4, , A= 9600, P = 5600, r =0.03, so r/n = 0.03/4 = 0.0075

1 + r/n = 1+0.0075 = 1.0075

4t = log(9600/5600)/log(1.0075) = log(1.714) / log(1.0075) = 0.234 /0.00325 = 72

t = 72/4 = 18 years

Solve the following problem. Give the equation using x as the variable, and give the answer.
Vinil7 [7]

Answer:

A. 3x + (x+8) = -22 - 2x

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number equal x.

Set up the first half of the equation.

The sum of three times the number and 8 more than the number can be written as:

3x + (x+8)

Sum means that you add the components.

Set up the second half of the equation.

The difference between -22 and twice the number can be written as:

-22 - 2x

Difference means subtraction, and because -22 is written first, that is the number that you subtract <em>from</em>.

If you set the halves of the equation equal, you get:

3x + (x+8) = -22 - 2x

Therefore, the answer is A.
