Varies directly means
if y varies directly as x that means
y=kx where k is a constant

so
y=kx
y=2 and 2/3 when y=1/4 then find k
convert 2 and 2/3 to imporoper fraction for ease
2 and 2/3=6/3+2/3=8/3

8/3=k(1/4)
multiply both sides by 4/1 to clear fraction
32/3=k

so now we have
y=(32/3)x

when x=1 and 1/8
find y
convert 1 and 1/8 to imporopor=9/8

y=(32/3)(9/8)
y=(288)/(24)
y=12

Given a system of linear equations; explain your strategy for solving the system, show the math required to solve the problem, a
labwork [276]

The solution is (x, y) = (2, 3)

Solution:

Given equations are:

y = 3x - 3 ------- eqn 1

y = 2x - 1 ---------- eqn 2

We can solve the equations by substitution method

In eqn 1, we have y equals 3x - 3

If we substitute this in place of y in eqn 2, we can get value of "x"

Substitute eqn 1 in eqn 2

3x - 3 = 2x - 1

Move the variables to one side and constants to other side

3x - 2x = -1 + 3

x = 2

Substitute x = 2 in eqn 1

y = 3(2) - 3

y = 6 - 3

y = 3

Thus the solution is (x, y) = (2, 3)

If θ=465°, what is the measure of the reference angle for θ?
-105
30
75
15
enyata [817]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Reference angles are angles which take angles greater than 360 and give the smaller, equivalent angle. To find the reference angle to 465, simply subtract 360 from 465:

465 - 360 = 105

The reference angle to 465 is 105

alina1380 [7]

answer: ~45 lemon

explanation: if it takes 8 lemons to make 80 oz then you know each lemon holds 10oz of fluid

Knowing this you now need to divide 448 by 10 to see how many lemons you need

the answer rounded up is ~45 lemons
